Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero

Pound for pound, Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero ranks among the most accomplished and revered boxers of the past decade. A child phenom from a family of fighters in Gilroy, CA, Guerrero was a Junior Olympic Gold Medalist by the age of 15 and the IBF Featherweight Champion by 23. He'd go on to win five more world titles in four different divisions, compiling 33 wins against just six losses. Not even Floyd Mayweather, Jr. could put The Ghost on the canvas, as Guerrero went toe-to-toe with the WBC Welterweight champ for 12 hard-fought rounds in 2013.

While he was feared inside the ring, Robert Guerrero has always been a class act outside of it. When his wife was battling leukemia, he put his career on hold and even vacated a title to be by her side every step of the way - helping to raise awareness for the bone marrow registry at the same time. Casey has since made a strong recovery.

In 2017, Guerrero formally announced his retirement after a remarkable 17 year journey. “A boxer's career is a long and tough road,” he said during the announcement. “Many tears were shed, lots of blood, and tons of sweat. Many miles were traveled, thousands of rounds sparred, none were easy and nothing was ever given to me. I earned everything I got the old fashioned way. I never ducked anyone and fought the best fighters in the world. I fought my way through every obstacle to make sure my fans enjoyed every second, of every round, of my fights."
