Concept 2 SkiErg

The Concept 2 SkiErg is an American-made, precision engineered Nordic skiing machine from the makers of the industry’s most trusted indoor rowers. Adapting key rowing machine elements like flywheel resistance and a state-of-the-art PM5 Performance Monitor, the SkiErg turns the athlete’s orientation vertical, simulating the movements of real cross-country skiing with both double-pole and classic alternating arm technique. These movements offer one of the most challenging strength and endurance tests available in a fitness machine, targeting the legs, arms, and core for a full body workout adaptable to any athlete’s size and skill level.

*Concept 2 Wall Mounted SkiErg Includes Smartphone Cradle

Customers can elect to order the Concept 2 SkiErg as a single wall-mounted unit or with the inclusion of a specially designed floor stand for easy set-up and portability in any training space.

  • 1PM5 Performance Monitor

The Performance Monitor truly sets the Concept2 SkiErg apart from other cross-country training devices. Sophisticated yet easy to use, the PM5 can:
--Monitor turns and track distance, speed, pace, calories burned, and watts.
--Manage a wide range of features such as preset workouts, games, and multiple languages.
--View force curve, pace boat, bar chart, large print, or all data.
--Store performance data and/or transfer data to your Mac or PC via a USB Flash Drive.
--Use ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart with compatible heart rate monitors.

  • 2Flywheel and Damper

Like the Concept 2 Rowers, the SkiErg uses air resistance generated by the fanned flywheel. To adjust how much air enters the flywheel housing on each pull, the design includes a unique spiral damper, which you can quickly adjust to different settings (simulating everything from a flat straightaway to a severe uphill climb). This makes the SkiErg customizable to the skill sets and preferences of any skier or strength athlete, regardless of size or experience.

  • 3Durable, Ergonomic Construction

Backed by Concept 2’s nearly 40 years as a leading American fitness equipment manufacturer, the SkiErg promises precision engineering and dependable durability. This model includes high-strength, lightweight drive cords for a smooth response, along with new ergonomic, strapless handles for a secure, moisture-resistant grip suited to any hand size. The grips and cords can be used for both the double-pole and alternating arm techniques.

  • 4Wall-Mount or Freestanding + Easy Assembly

The SkiErg can be either mounted on a wall or used with a specially designed Floor Stand, also available to add in the order menu. Wall mounting provides the most compact option, while the floor stand, with its anti-skid deck and caster wheels, provides an all-in-one solution that makes the SkiErg mobile. Either way, the unit is easy to assemble, with all 12 required screws provided with the order, along with tools and illustrated instructions.

  • 5Great for Adaptive / Rehab Training

While the SkiErg is used by professional skiers and other athletes at the highest levels of competition, its versatility and adaptability have also made it a popular tool for athletes rehabbing from injuries or in an adaptive strength training program. Because the SkiErg can still be used effectively while sitting in a chair, it’s also functional and effective for many rehabbing and disabled athletes in a way most comparable fitness machines are not.

  • 6Fast Rogue Shipping

Orders placed by 3pm ship the same day. The Rogue Shipping System allows you to track your order from the time you place it to the time it hits your door. Concept 2 BikeErgs ship flat rate within the continental US.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great compliment to rower This is a totally different workout than anything else I've done. Bought this without ever using one. Glad I did. Compliments the rower perfectly by working on the opposite muscles of the rower. It's a challenge. Wouldn't say it's the best ever but you will be gasping when going hard. My wife doesn't feel it much in her abs, but I do. It's not our favorite piece of equipment but I make sure to use it about 3 times a week for the price. Highly suggest getting the stand and not wall mounting this. I did at first and the stand makes it better. Great workout though. Not 5 star because you can't combine package with the stand, and that makes it a pretty expensive piece of equipment when you get both without realizing it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent work out on well made equipment I use the ski erg at my club every visit (they have 4) and it is my "go-to" machine for a quick but complete cardio workout. Many people use it at a beginner level to simply warm up for other exercises/weights (which is fine) but it can be used hard for intervals, distances and with its excellent monitor it captures heart rate, cadence, calories, watts and the ability to race against your earlier effort from last week or, by using a data card, upload your effort to your computer and compete/ get ranked against others from around the world. Low impact on your knees but huge cardio benefits which can be used to help condition yourself for far more sports/activities than just Nordic skiing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best cardio to date Being paralyzed from the waist down a rower wasn't as feasible without modification. SkiErg fits the bill and something I can easily use from my wheelchair. We're not even a month into ownership and love the addition to our gym. It's truely the best and quickest cardio I've gotten in 12 years of being disabled. Added the handle clips so I could more easily access the handles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome addition! We recently added this beast to our garage gym, but had never used one before. We always wished our old CrossFit box had one but now we have this to kick our tail whenever we want. This machine is a killer, the first few moments you are thinking, “I could do this all day”... then reality sets in. A pleasant surprise to this cardio machine is how much you use your core and triceps. Definitely a great purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine Skierg set up on stand in corner of garage - takes up small amount of space. Stand is sturdy and only wobbles with high output efforts. The PM5 computer responds well to each pull. As a nordic skier - the best replicated upper body motion for V2 in the non-snow months (other than roller skiing). As expected, great product from Concept.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does the legs as well I’ve had mine for a few weeks and echo what everyone else says - it’s worth the money and is an excellent and effective machine. While it’s true it does the upper body, it also does the lower. Two days ago I did 10K in 45 minutes and it was hard - really hard. Why? Well in part because you’re squatting and coming up again continuously for 45 minutes. Not squatting fully so that your thighs are horizontal, but not far off. I’m sure this is a large part of the reason this thing can be brutal if used properly. I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beach body machine I struggle with upper body/anterior movement endurance and this has helped a ton. Strict handstand push-ups are improving. My hip flexors are getting stronger to the point where ghdsu are being doubled in working sets with less fatigue. And anything on pull-up bars/rings is improving. It almost mimicks the same movement as rmu making it so much easier. And lets not forget about the most important part, it makes your arms bigger and more shredded. Wifey is all over me. Jk. Only when I wear tank tops.
