Product Description

The Stainless Steel Rogue War Bar is a specialized 15LB technique bar—not equipped for loading plates, but still overbuilt to better simulate the real weight training experience. Each 54” bar is manufactured in the USA, and features the same 28mm diameter, knurl pattern, and stainless steel construction as our IWF-certified Pyrros Bar.

The War Bar is a useful tool for any Olympic weightlifter looking to warm-up before a workout and/or perfect their form. It’s also a good rehab barbell for athletes recovering from an injury and an effective training bar for beginners learning the basics. The stainless steel model is significantly more robust than our original PVC War Bar, but as there are no sleeves for loading plates, it is still intended for use ONLY as a technique bar.

Rogue branding is included in the center of the bar in wear-resistant Black Cerakote.

Key Features of the Stainless Steel War Bar

A Better Way to Hone Form
1

A Better Way to Hone Form

Practicing weightlifting technique with an unloaded bar is useful for experienced and beginner lifters, alike, but rather than settling for a PVC pipe or a broomstick, athletes can use the War Bar to better replicate the actual feel and dimensions of a standard barbell. The bar is 28mm in diameter and includes standard Olympic knurl marks (a 25mm version is also available).

Made in the USA

Made in the USA

The Stainless Steel War Bar is manufactured in the USA using the same stainless steel and precision knurling as our 28mm Pyrros Bar. Rogue branding is also included in Black Cerakote—one of the leading, corrosion-resistant coatings in the industry. While it’s extremely robust in construction, the War Bar doesn’t include sleeves and is NOT INTENDED for use as a load bearing barbell.

Unnecessary? Yes. Do I regret buying it? Nope!
Depending on your strength level - you may be better off with one of the 2.5 technique bars so you can gradually load it to build up. I have no issue jumping from warm ups to 40kg (bar plus two 10's) so this is perfect to warm up with - a little more resistance than a bit of PVC is lovely. I didnt realise the knurl is the same as the Pyros bar but it's very nice - super grippy but I dont know how you would go if you were doing super high rep stuff. I dont have an Ohio bar anymore to compare it too but it's less aggressive and more "sticky" than the knurled on my Stump (same as OPB I believe). I have a Klokov stainless bar and the knurled is way more passive on that. I wouldn't buy this when you're starting out - but if you're looking for something as a good warmup tool once you've been training for a while, it's not a bad buy. Also, if you dont have other stainless bars, this will ruin them for you because stainless is king.

Excellent value
Excellent for warmups and stretching. Just the right amount weight to stretch core and legs.

Love this bar! I use it for warming up and technique practice. I’m a huge fan of the knurling. Highly recommend.

Great Bar. Logo gets in the way.
Great Bar, super useful. I use mine as the ultimate pullup bar. The knurling is great since it is a copy of the Pyrros bar (the best barbell ever made). It is 28mm Olympic standard which is really ideal and allows the use of Fat Gripsz as opposed to thicker bars which don't. which is very useful. It's stainless so no problems there. My one BIG critique is the Rogue logo on the center feels weird on my hand and distracts me when I'm doing high intensity work and I wish it wasn't there. Overall an essential piece of equipment and I'm so glad the modeled it on their best barbell.

Christmas in Florida
This was a gift for my 91 year old father in Florida, still a daily treadmill guy. Was funny at first but now with a rubber landmine attachment… he loves to use it after his 20 minute treadmill walk …

Quality Bar!
I like to dabble in olympic lift training and previous to the bar I had a foam body bar . This bar blows the body bar away. Great feel, just like the olympic bar, well made, sturdy, a real professional piece of equipment, highly recommend

Great Bar!
100 % pleased with purchasing the technique bar. Like someone said earlier I have limited space so it's great for practicing technique and easy storage. My only question is residue from the bar is rubbing off on my hands so not sure as of yet the best way to clean the bar.

Stainless steel!
Every thing about this is excellent. I was looking into buying a weighted bar for technique but cost a lot for none of the features this bar has. The knurl feels so grippy and passive at the same time. No sleeves means I can store this behind a bedroom door and no special storage needs. Great for apartments or small spaces.
