Rogue Color KG Training Plates - IWF Approved

Like our KG Competition Plates, Rogue’s quality KG Training Plates are now officially certified by the International Weightlifting Federation; a recognition that’s on par with a restaurant earning its Michelin stars. Each of these color-coded bumpers is an IWF standard 450MM in diameter, with a narrow plate width that allows for more weight to be loaded on the bar. A 50.40MM collar opening and steel disc insert keep the plates firmly in place even during intense, high-rep training, and a Shore A durometer of 86 promises a consistent dead bounce to meet the demands of the serious Olympic lifter.

The color coding of the KG Training Plates makes them easy to identify at a glance, helping athletes, trainers, and coaches run more efficient workouts. Red = 25KG, Blue = 20KG, Yellow = 15KG, and Green = 10KG. We’ve also revamped this version of the plates with a gloss-matte-gloss finish + Rogue branding and the official IWF logo in white on both sides.

Customers can order any of the KG Training Plates in pairs or in a variety of combination sets suited to any size gym or type of athlete. Check out the options in the order menu, or see the other KG version of these plates here.

Key Features of Rogue KG Training Plates

  • 1IWF Approved

Rogue KG Training Plates are approved by the International Weightlifting Federation; a testament to their quality construction (including a zinc-plated steel insert), precision (+/- 15 grams of claimed weight), and performance (86 durometer for reduced bounce). In accordance, these latest designs include the official logo of the IWF on each plate.

  • 2Color Finish

This edition of the KG Training Bumpers features a vibrant Gloss-Matte-Gloss color finish: Red = 25KG, Blue = 20KG, Yellow = 15KG, and Green = 10KG. This color coding, along with Rogue and IWF branding in white, makes it easy to identify these bumpers from a distance, whether on a plate rack or in use by other athletes. The relatively slim design of the Training Plates also allows for greater weight loads on the bar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Things you need to be aware of These are some great bumper plates for sure, enough has been said about their pros. I'll focus on the cons only. - The center steel plate is a two-piece design. They are pressed together with 6 hex screws. This creates a split in the inner portion of the hole, causing the plates to rub against the barbell sleeves with lots of friction and unwanted noise. - These plates do not have raised lettering like the competition plates. The lettering is printed instead. - Another annoying problem is the rust development. I bought mine about two years ago, there is already a lot of visible rusts. In comparison, my Rogue competition plates are completely shiny with no rust at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, high quality bumpers I've had these for about a month now and they are nicer than I expected. They are a hard rubber, pretty low bounce, and appear to be very durable. Color on all the plates is bright and looks great. I use these exclusively for weightlifting 5x per week, we'll see how they hold up over the long haul. Definitely nice when reviewing video or sending video to coach - no more guessing what's on the bar. With free shipping these bumpers are pretty much impossible to beat. I have a set of 25KG/55LB training bumpers from another company that I got on clearance and the Rogue bumpers are much nicer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bad quality control Ordered new iwf calibrated plates and after 2 weeks received 2 x old style non iwf 10kg plates in new iwf boxes. Also 1 of them had loose centre. So after speaking to customer service they said they'd send new ones and check them first. Then I received 1 iwf plate and yet again 1 old non iwf plate in new box. Then finally 3rd time lucky they managed to send the 2nd proper plate. Shocking practice of putting old plates in new boxes, wonder how many others have received older plates and not realised. Plates themselves are decent

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great plates.......... I bought these training plates from 10-25kg and they are great quality. I had some damage to the 20 kilo plates which rogue quickly rectified and sent a replacement set for me, great customer service on their part. My only negative to this set is the 25 kg plates are not a bright red but more of a maroon coloured red, they do not appear the same red bright colour as on the website. I have still given these 5 stars as they are lovely plates and should last me a long time and look the part. I would like to see rogue Europe stock the competition version with the raised lettering. I think this looks so much better than the flat print.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Gold Standard of training plates I've had 200kg of these used in my home gym for 5 months now. They're used four times a week for powerlifting movements, including deadlifts up to the mid 500s. Even with a ton of hard, heavy volume, the plates are still in excellent condition - no chipping, discoloration, or loosening of the centerpiece. Truly the gold standard for training weights. They sit very tightly on the sleeve, not much side to side play at all, but the opening is large enough to make them easy to load.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful bumpers I pulled the trigger on these bumper plates because I wanted the colored styling while being able to confidently drop the weight from at least hip height. Pros: smelled great out of the box. Colors are consistent between pairs of plates and the change plates also available on the website. Cons: they're a huge pain in the butt to lift off the ground should they land flat; they have no sort of grip to dig your fingers underneath. The finish kind of rubs off whenever the plates slide against other surfaces, but not enough to completely ruin their appearance. The lettering is flat against the plate instead of raised like the competition bumpers (not really a con, just a fact) I would definitely buy more of these weights in the future. I just need to get stronger first!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Awesome! I have had these plates for about a month. I am primary an Olympic lifter and was looking for a low bounce, decent quality plate. I got much more than I asked for! Almost not bounce when dropped from shoulders, small bounce from overhead. I use them in an indoor gym that I have at home. If you want plates that feel like competition plates these are it. If you just want to train I would recommend a cheaper set.
