ROGUE 45LB OHIO POWER BAR - 2x AGGRO

The AGGRO™ variations of our 45LB Ohio Power Bar are designed for lifters who want an even more aggressive knurl than the standard model. There 2x AGGRO utilizes advanced precision tooling to re-create the geometry of the original knurl pattern with added depth and more prominent peaks:

*WARNING: The 3x AGGRO is our most aggressive knurl to date, and one of the sharpest and least forgiving on the market. Anyone unsure of their tolerance level should avoid this option. Returns will NOT be accepted on the basis of any pain or discomfort caused by the knurling itself.

Both AGGRO Power Bars are manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, utilizing the same steel we developed for the world famous Elephant Bar, and featuring the same 200,000 PSI tensile strength shaft as the standard Ohio Power Bar. The design also includes quality bronze bushings, 16.25” of loadable sleeve length, and Cerakote branding on each side of the center knurl. By using stainless steel for the shaft and sleeves, we’re able to give the customer the true, uncompromised feel of the extra aggressive knurl, while also adding the benefits of superior oxidation resistance.

A Note on Bar Cleaning: Rogue recommends using a synthetic bristle brush, NOT a steel brush, to clean a stainless steel shaft. Using steel on stainless steel can contaminate the stainless steel and cause rusting. See more tips here: Bar Care & Maintenance.

AGGRO KNURLING
1

AGGRO KNURLING

With these AGGRO variations, we’ve been able to increase the depth and coarseness of the Ohio Power Bar knurling without sacrificing the knurl geometry that we are known for. Our tooling has been specially designed so that we can have an extremely repeatable knurl with a more aggressive feel that looks as good as it grips. Available in your choice of two designs: 2x AGGRO or 3x AGGRO. Be Advised: The 3x is NOT intended for anyone unsure about their preferences or pain threshold; be sure to reference the comparison photos to get a sense of the extreme difference in the knurl of these bars vs. the standard version. (All bars include a center knurl).

STAINLESS STEEL
2

STAINLESS STEEL

No finish offers better oxidation resistance than stainless steel. By leaving the shaft and sleeves of the AGGRO bars uncoated, we’re also able to give the athlete the true feel of the extra aggressive knurl. As noted, we recommend using a synthetic bristle brush, NOT a steel brush, to clean a stainless steel shaft.

200,000 PSI TENSILE STRENGTH
3

200,000 PSI TENSILE STRENGTH

The AGGRO Ohio Power Bar’s 29MM diameter stainless steel shaft has a tensile strength of 200,000 PSI, delivering superior rigidity and virtually zero whip/flex. Machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio, the bar also features a snap-ring design and quality bronze bushings for a smooth, consistent feel.

CERAKOTE BRANDING
4

CERAKOTE BRANDING

We’ve included Cerakote branding on each side of the center knurl in a unique “photonegative” stencil style, with black Cerakote bringing out designs from the stainless steel. The Rogue logo is featured on one side, while the other introduces the AGGRO Monster, with his number of teeth indicating the aggressiveness of the knurl (2 teeth for 2x, 3 teeth for 3x).

LIFETIME WARRANTY
5

LIFETIME WARRANTY

The quality construction of the AGGRO Ohio Power Bar is backed by Rogue’s Lifetime Warranty against bending. This is a barbell equipped for high intensity, everyday use. Please Note: The warranty does not cover damage due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user, i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage. Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Returns will NOT be accepted on the basis of an AGGRO bar’s knurling feeling more aggressive than the customer expected.

F Scale™

The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.

Oxidation Rate

The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

Excellent as expected.
Love this bar. It took a few uses to adjust to the knurling (bought the 2x aggro). The bar is exactly what I expected.

Daily Driver
What else can I say but simply perfect...well maybe. I have not tried the 3x aggro bar so I want to hold off on saying my 2x bar is perfect. I will say that I have been lifting for about 7 years now, and this is the most aggressive bar I've tried to date. However, it feels fantastic in my hands. Not painful, even when I go heavy. But man, the grip is amazing.

Great bar
This bar is awesome, it's very grippy, and it doesn't feel sharp.

Fantastic, except for the end caps
I really enjoy using this bar. The AGGRO x2 was the right choice for me. I occasionally use chalk, but just for my heavy working sets. I like the detail of the dog face and Rogue branding. It’s a sweet looking bar, and it performs great. My only complaint is about the end caps. The Power Bar logos on the end caps are peeling off. I haven’t had this bar for a full year, and it’s only been used by me for powerlifting. Considering the amount I paid, I didn’t expect this. However, this is a purely cosmetic issue.

Solid and functional bar, lackluster cosmetic QC
I am an avid rogue customer and this is the first purchase that I have regretted. I sold my steadfast stainless steel OPB to “upgrade” to an Aggro 2x. For those looking to upgrade from a standard OPB, go ahead and go full 3x. The 2x is a slightly more aggressive and excellent knurl, but I would have gone with the 3x in hindsight. The issues I have with the bar are its poor cosmetic finish, packaging, attention to detail, and QC. Where the cerakote meetings the knurling are prominent and obvious flaws in the knurling which is simply unacceptable for a top tier new rogue barbell (if I didn’t know any better, I would have guessed this was a boneyard bar). This would be tolerable for one of rogue’s cheap competitors, but not for a company that prides itself on premium USA products. Either stick with the all stainless, or fix QC on the cerakote. Moreover, the bar should be plastic wrapped like the CB4. Its sharper knurling eats the cardboard tube unlike a standard SS OPB and you’ll spend a lot of time cleaning off cardboard dust. Inexplicably, there is visible factory oil on the knurling which discolors the bar and will leave an oil odor on one’s hands. While this is surely cleanable, it’s again unacceptable for a top tier bar to ship to a customer in this manner. I have never experienced this with any of the 5 rogues bars I’ve purchased in the past.

Aggro 2X = New daily driver
Bought the Aggro 2X last month and after training with it for a few weeks I’m very happy with the purchase. Knurl is more aggressive the the original OPB and TPB but without being over the top. The bar also looks and preforms fantastic. New daily driver for sure.

Aggro 3x knurlings should be standard for all
Freaking love my 3x. Knurlings on 3x should be standard on all barbells. If it is too sharp for you...you don't belong in the gym. I look forward to 5x if they ever came out with it!! 3x is my 7th barbell from Rogue Fitness and regretted the other six barbells! It is 3x or none for me. 3x make workout so much better due to better grips. You won't regret it.

2x AGGRO
I haven’t wrote a review on equipment which as I think of it now I have had and still have a lot of equipment from rogue. But I have to say that this bar is awesome! I think this bar is my daily bar now, that being said if you like a aggressive knurling I would go with this bar. I actually at this point want the 3x now to see if I like that one also. Before this bar the westside knurling was my favorite from rogue. I have the OHPB in cerakote, westside, rogue 2.0 and some of the specialty axle types bars, this knurling blows it all away, plus the stainless steel and the look of this bar… just wow! If I have one thing I would change it would be the end caps to match the logo of the AGGRO on the shaft. Please rogue add special end caps to like you have for deadlift bar and westside to change it up. I have tried this bar for squats, bench, deadlifts, bent over rows etc… I just can’t seem to not use another bar every time I go to workout
