OSO Barbell Collars

OSO Barbell Collars are made in the USA from the same type of 6061 aluminum alloy used in aircraft construction. The OSO Barbell Collars deliver on functionality, too--creating a secure hold on the bar through repeated, high-impact drops, and allowing easy adjustments or removal with a simple lever and lock/unlock mechanism.

All that being said, the first thing a lot of lifters talk about with the OSO Barbell Collars is how they look. Shaped like an industrial gear, the collars’ boast a solid, old school design.

For Oly lifters, CrossFitters, or any athlete looking for an upgrade from basic spring collars, OSO Barbell Collars are a nice option.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just on flaw. These collars are great. They are well made, easy to use, great looking, and very secure. The one thing I will warn you about is the fact that they can chew up your bumpers if you have the kind with rubber all the way to the center (like the Rogue echo bumpers) and you're dropping the bar on the ground. It's for that reason that I also got a pair of the OSO Mighty collars. They're about half the price, seem just as secure, and have a design that won't mess up bumper plates. I wish I had just gotten those in the first place. If you have metal plates or bumpers with w big metal disc in the center, then what I'm talking about doesn't apply to you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The New Standard Incredible holding power. I have used these for several workouts with thrusters and C&J including a repeat of 13.4 this past week. Dropping the bar from overhead to the ground 50+ times in a workout and they didn't budge. I have had both the regular Rogue collars and the metal rogue collars and they all have moved enough to have to tighten them mid-workout. Not OSO clamps. I can't comment too much on durability yet as they are only 2 weeks old but they are holding up very well so far. The 2 year warranty helps me have some assurance that if they were to break the company will stand behind them. On a final note, be smart when you open them as the clamp is easy to manpulate but "snaps" open and if you catch a finger it can smart! Pictured they are on my axle bar and hold on this very well too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The gold standard I can't say enough good things about these clamps. 50+ reps dropped from overhead with 135 pounds on the bar, and they do not move. The only VERY minor gripe that I have is the color is coming off at a few of the corners on my orange ones, but I think that's my own fault due to how I'm storing them in a large bin with other things, rather than in a box by themselves. It's probably just because other stuff is hitting/rubbing them. Amazing collars, well worth every penny. They put springs & HG collars to shame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeds expectations I've used these for three workouts now. One was to establish max weights in deadlift, front squat, and power cleans. Another involved 100+ reps of ground-to-overhead movements at moderate weight. These collars didn't budge even a millimeter. the color (orange) looks awesome, the function is beyond expectation, and best of all- made in the USA. I think I'll be gifting these collars to athlete friends of mine for the foreseeable future. Without reservation, 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Save yourself the trouble... BUY THESE NOW. We met these folks during the 2015 Regional's in Dallas. I have heard MANY good things about these collars in the past, but made the jump to get them after seeing them in person. GREAT product that does EXACTLY what it was made to do. I will agree with the post that recognized that you need to use some caution when unlocking them. If you're not mindful, the clamping mechanism can slap you in the knuckles for a bit of a wake up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HIGHLY RECOMMEND I bought a green pair a month ago and what an excellent product. I have the Rogue Olympic WL Bar, the Rogue 15 Pound Aluminum Technique Bar and the generic bar that came with the Olympic weight set that I bought 20 years ago. They fit on all 3 bars, do not move and weigh next to nothing plus they are made in the USA!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I big step up from spring collars! Excellent product! Easy to use. Well-machined hardware. It holds the weight on the bar with absolutely no issues. Check out my video review for more info.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! I bought these after reading the positive reviews. They are fantastic! They do NOT move at ALL! Great Product. It is worth noting there is a warning about treating them nicely when they are not on a bar (i.e. NOT throwing them around or tossing them into a bucket). I have been around the CF stuff for 5 years, these are by far the greatest clips I have ever used!
