Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them! I just got these and I love them. I have the OSO Pro collars (the ones that look like a gear with six cogs) which I also love, but I noticed that they were starting to chew up my bumpers. I bought these because I figured the lower profile design would be easier on the bumpers, and it is. The Pro collars are so sweet, but I kinda wish I had just gotten these in the first place. They seem to be just as secure as the OSO pro collars and cost over $20 less. The only reasons I can think of to get the Pro or Elite collars over these is for the added bling factor and the fact that they are heavy enough to make make your 20kg barbell basically an even 45lbs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great clips for a great price! I bought these for Crossfit since we're constantly dropping/slamming the bar or doing lots of other dynamic movements and the standard bar clips have a tendency to slide off. The OSO clips have been great so far! I love the low profile design, they're very lightweight, sturdy construction, and once they're locked they won't budge. The only downside, and the reason i gave them a 4 star rating, is that they can be cumbersome to slide on. They only open up to be JUST larger than the bar and tend to get stuck as you put them on. If the workout only requires one weight then it's no big deal, but if you're using multiple weights or have to switch weights during the workout it can be very frustrating. Otherwise, great product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just ok, little disappointed. Look they are tight, really freaking tight. I spent about 20 mins wearing one of them down so the clip would move. I thought it was going to break. I was ready to throw them away. After reading and looking online I am not the only one. It literally creates a groove in the clip. I have not even used them yet. If you do not get the clip pulled all the way back then the collar will not go on the bar. The other thing is that it clips on by clamping the clip over the bar and makes an impression on the bar itself. Spend the extra money on a only style collar if you don't want the hassle or wear on the bar.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s a budget collar I feel bad giving this too harsh of a review because this collar is meant to be a budget item, but even still it fell short of expectations. Its diameter is just barely bigger than an Oly bar, so it’s a pain to get on and off, and often sticks/catches. The lever is also too tight and feels brittle at the same time. Go for the more expensive OSO collars, you'll be glad you did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly easy to remove and simple design. These collars are surprisingly easy to remove. From some of the other reviews, I thought they were going to be more difficult. By design these do not expand open like some other collars that can pop open during a workout. These collars have a solid round aluminum body with a rugged, rubberish inner liner. The lever on the far side of the collar simply cams against the barbell to lock the collar in place. I can even see how I could repair these collars if they were to lose their grip. Simplicity is typically longer lasting - buy these collars!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy Collar They have a small profile although do a good job at keeping the plate secure on the sleeve. Used with both Rogue Olympic weightlifting bar and DHS training bar. They take a careful hand to remove due to the inner rubber lining. They do the job they are built for and have been in use for 1 week so far. 12/7/16 NOTE: these will not work on the Rogue axle bars. It will be necessary to purchase the OSO axle specific collars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but mighty I have zero complaints. The price is great and they really stay on quite well. I didn't have any issues using them, they worked great from the start. Several people in the gym have picked them up since and have had the same experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Collars Bottom line up front: in my opinion best collar for the money. I was looking for something with more hold than the standard plastic collars or spring collars I had available. Read a lot of reviews for metal ones and decided on the because people had problems with the gear like ones cutting into bumpers over time. I have had these for about 10 months and I love them. Several other people at my box have used them also and they have all been pleased. No issues with them cutting into plates. They do have a little bit of a break in time and are a little extra slow when it's cold for what it is worth, and are not super fast to change but as you get used to them they are fine. Conclusion see bottom line up front.
