Rogue HG 2.0 KG Bumper Plates

Purchased in 2021 December. Been using these for a while. They have taken a hammering and held up great. I'm writing this review because I wanted to see the weight tolerances. I took each plate I had and weighed it on the rubber gym floor face down to a result of +100g, on the concrete floor face down -100g but on the side weight was exactly as stated in KG. Impressed. Very impressed, well done on such a great product.

I love these bumper plates. I have the steel power lifting plates as well and find that I am using these more. Solid, easy to handle, look good and get the job done. On the other reviews they cite the rubber smell, I have a sensitive smell and these plates are fine to me.

Plates were well within the advertised weight tolerance specifications and are quite durable (I bought the 20 kg plate pair a few weeks ago). Unfortunately both plates had a strong chemical smell upon arrival and a residue on them, neither of which is easily removed. This may just be par for the course given the price point. Something to be aware of if you have a smaller enclosed area for the home gym that is not well ventilated. I didn't have this issue with my Training 2.0 plates (which are well worth the investment).

Needed the 5kg Bumper Plates and like all Rogue Gear - Great!

I've had these for a number of years now, maybe 5-6. I'm writing this review for a guy like me who was on the fence about bumpers. I've primarily used iron plates my entire life and the made in USA deep dish weren't offered at my time of purchase. As a result, my daughter who power lifted throughout high school talked me into these for our garage gym. I don't perform olympic lifts, but use them primarily for the big three and on the rogue farmer walk handles. As a plate goes these do the job, but I think they are just average for the price. The bad is that the rubber edges tend to tear up pretty easily on the driveway during farmer walks and they are really fat on the bar. The fat width made them feel somewhat awkward for me when I started pulling heavy deadlifts with them. The weight was distributed farther out on the bar and just felt different. I understand why they are so wide, but I feel most guys powerlifting are better served purchasing the deep dish iron plates. The good is that I have used these a lot without damaging the center ring and they are fairly easy to load onto the bar for squats, bench, and even deadlifts. Overall, it's a decent product but I don't think i'd purchase this again. It's not as high of quality as the new made in USA iron plates offered today. If you're not doing olympic lifts, I'd go that route first and maybe mix in some bumpers as needed.

The 5KG bumpers are great and functional for my gym.

Have had these plates for four years and the nauseating smell has not disappeared. When I was using them a large garage with airflow, they were fine. When I moved and started using them in a house, I have turn on two fans to disperse the smell and store them outside once I'm done. Will probably replace them soon. Other than the smell, the quality has been good.

Bought the 5 & 25s and both are of the highest quality.
