Rogue Monster Rhino Belt Squat - Stand Alone
New Patented System for Lower Body Training

The freestanding version of the Rogue Monster Rhino Belt Squat (patent pending) requires no separate rack/rig for set-up, as the system includes a pair of 53.925” steel legs for mounting and two angled 3x3” front feet for platform stability. This compact unit can be set up in garage gyms, low-ceiling home gyms, or full-scale facilities, offering athletes the ability to get many of the lower body training benefits of squats and other workouts without putting unnecessary stress on the shoulders or lower back.

Manufactured in Columbus, Ohio the stand-alone Monster Rhino Belt Squat comes with 3x3” arms and crossmembers, a 3x6” weight trolley tower, and a 0.25" braided cable for raising/lowering the weight trolley. When not in use, the trolley is stored on a 1" thick UHMW plastic hook, or “Rhino Horn.”

A diamond-tread plate platform provides steady footing, adjustable handles offer overhand and neutral grip options, and our exclusive Rogue Multi Belt (included standard) easily accommodates most waist sizes, with adjustments from 41” to 61”.

The entire Rhino unit (aside from the platform, handles and weight posts) is finished in our Medium Gloss Black powdercoat.

Set-Up: The Monster Rhino Belt Squat ships freight, some assembly required, and it must be bolted to the floor before use. A pair of Monster 1” Wrenches are included, however additional tools will be required to finish assembly. When complete, the trolley tower will reach a height of 78.5" from the floor. The freestanding / stand-alone version has a total footprint of 53" x 60.5", and extends approx. 21.5" off the legs. Please Note: Additional clearance (beyond 21.5") is required for adding plates.

Using the Rhino Belt Squat: Step onto the platform and strap on the Rogue Multi Belt around your hips. Upon standing up, the trolley will rise and disengage from the Rhino Horn. This allows users to then pull back on the handles and start squatting. Once the handles are pulled back, they will stay back until the user pushes the handles back towards the tower, allowing the horn to safely re-engage the trolley.

Benefits of Belt Squats: Performing belt squats rather than traditional back squats / front squats / Zercher squats can be beneficial for a wide range of reasons. Athletes dealing with regular back pain or struggling with spinal compression from axial loading can circumvent those issues by putting the lion’s share of the load on the hips and legs. Similarly, anyone rehabbing from an upper body injury (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, etc.) can still get in their lower body work without having to worry about supporting a barbell.

Belt Squats provide traction to the spine, help add substantial volume to the legs, and offer versatility for other types of training, from calf raises to rows, shrugs, and deadlifts—all easily performed even in a home gym with limited space. A pair of welded-on Band Pegs are included with the system for additional resistance work.

Rogue Monster Rhino Belt Squat - Stand Alone Features

1

Loadable Weight Trolley

Our innovative weight trolley design (patented) features two stainless steel, horizontal weight posts with 15.75" of loading capacity on each side. A set of (4) machined Acetal rollers, each containing (2) bearings, ensure the trolley moves smoothly up and down the rail. Laser-cut Rogue branding is featured on each side, and the tower includes a Rhino sticker on each side, as well.

2

Squat Platform

The platform of the Monster Rhino Belt Squat is made from 0.125" thick diamond tread plate and is finished in our Signature Texture Black powdercoat to provide advanced durability and a non-slip surface. The tread plate sits on top of a 1" x 3" steel frame and attaches to 3x3" front feet for additional stability and rigidity. The platform dimensions are 26" deep x 48.5" wide. When the unit is installed, the top of the platform sits 7" above the ground.

3

Rhino Horn

This is a 1" thick UHMW plastic horn, sandwiched between steel plates, that holds the trolley when not in use. The Rhino Horn is adjustable up and down so that the "racked" or resting height of the trolley can be accommodated to specific users heights.

4

Adjustable Handles

The handles on the Rhino are 1.25" in diameter and can be adjusted up or down for the user’s comfort. They are very similar to the handles found on our Rogue Monster Lever Arms and allow for both overhand and neutral grip positions. The inside of the channel on the handles features a protective UHMW plastic cover.

5

Exclusive Squat Belt

Each Rhino unit includes a custom designed Rogue Multi Belt, made in the USA. This exclusive squat belt offers six adjustable size settings (from 41” to 61”), built-in padding for reduced hip friction, and a spacer mesh interior for breathability. It was developed from an original design brought to us by Brian Henesey of OverAchieve Sports and Speed.

6

Mounting Legs

Since this version of the Rhino stands on its own, we’ve included a set of 53.925" tall legs that serve the same purpose as the uprights on a rack would. Two angled front feet (3x3”) that help ensure the stability for the platform.

Better than squat max MD by a long shot
I purchased the squat max MD about 6 months ago with all the bells and whistles. At the time I was trying to choose between that and this Rhino. We all (4 of us in our family, myself and 3 sons who lift) did not like the squat max md. It got the job done for a belt squat but the engineering on it seemed a little "backyard". Not trying to bad mouth anyone but if you are going to pay this kind of money, then you should feel you are getting a high quality professionally engineered and professional grade product. We sold that machine and purchase this Rhino and couldn't be happier. The sheer size of the members, bolts, everything is so beautifully overbuilt and pleasant to see and feel. You are not getting material that is just cheap enough to get the job done. You feel like you are getting what you are paying for. I should have gone this route first but hey, maybe my mistake and loss can prevent you from doing the same if you are on the fence and contemplating between these 2 machines. Not even close in comparison. Just my 2 cents.

I need assembly instructions
Bought this recently. They sent wrong instructions. Call volume too high to even be allowed to hold for a representative. Super frustrating.

Perfect for partially disabled veteran.
Our gym recently added this and today I tried it. My injury is with my lower spine and it makes squatting a nightmare. Working with this beauty and there is zero stress on my spine. Hope for my chicken legs (emoji not allowed). My wife also loves it. A game changer for training legs and where our bodies will be moving forward. Well done.

Amazing and versatile
I bought this unit in June of 2020.. smack dab in the middle of that horrid pandemic. I had read other people’s comments and saw some videos describing their nightmarish experience putting it together. Don’t fret Rogue… I had no problem putting it together. I may have smacked myself a few times with stubborn uprights, but I put it together in about 3 to 4 hours with nary an issue. If you have an inkling of mechanical prowess, you can figure it out just by looking at photos of the item. Having said that, my maiden run on this engineering wonder was anything but… let me finish Rogue.. I’m going somewhere good. The provided Rogue belt (to me) was useless. It dug into my sides, it hurt my inner thighs. I couldn’t perform a single comfortable rep. I immediately regretted the purchase. I was beside myself. The machine was a work of art. I loved the aesthetics, the over-built quality, the smoothness of the trolley… but I couldn’t use it… I tore open the rogue belt (sorry guys). I pulled out the foam inside and modified it.. reshaped it and reinserted into the fabric sleeve. It felt better. I could perform pain free reps…. Until I increased the weight to over 200 lbs. After 200 lbs, the belt would dig in, and I felt like I was being cut in half. I sought a solution. Over the next few weeks I bought dip belts with chains. The rogue dip belt and the spud inc. dip belt. Both attempts were futile. The dip belts did not help. I became quite the customer of spud inc. I tried every belt they offered. None of them offered relief in a manner that allowed me to use my machine in a satisfactory manner. I bought the spud inc hanging ab slings. I de-stitched them at the top to release the makings of the loop. I climbed into the sling.. and eureka!! I had my best feeling belt. No pinching, no digging… a bit unorthodox, but I could use the machine for its intended purpose. Over the next few months, I added a ‘hog legs’ fat grip straight lat bar for cable deadlifts. These feel great, by the way. I bought spud’s zercher straps for awesome zerchers. My most recent discovery… and probably what has become eighty percent of how I use this machine.. both because of how much weight I can move, and how organic this feels… I bought purmotion’s performance harness. It’s a little pricey, but well worth it. I use the harness for what feels like a front squat. This harness and this movement have become my go to flagship use for my rhino. I have zero regrets thanks to this harness. I don’t wanna make this about the harness. My point is this… I’m 5’6” 181 lbs. and it took some effort on my behalf to adapt to this amazing machine. The rhino is the rhino, every unit sold is identical. We, the users, the consumers, are of countless sizes, shapes. Our degree of strength and skill is also unique. If you own or have used this machine and ran into even a fraction of my trials, be patient. You can build a relationship with your rhino. I can say wholeheartedly that my home gym is now exponentially better because of the rhino. Thanks Rogue. This was a home run, despite my initial troubles.

Great machine!
Love the machine but a few parts were missing when it arrived. I had to wait a couple more weeks to get the parts sent to me. Otherwise, quality!
