AIR RESISTANCE STRENGTH TRAINING

Developed from the same uncompromising design philosophy as the Echo cardio line, the Rogue Air Rhino introduces a new element in resistance training. Originally conceived in 2018, this idea evolved through multiple concepts, ultimately resulting in this final design based on the Rogue Rhino Belt Squat that utilizes a flywheel similar to the Rogue Echo Rower and Rogue Echo SKI. Anchored to a heavy-duty steel and aluminum platform, this user-powered machine is designed to provide air resistance training for a variety of movements to include, belt squats, deadlifts, seated rows, upright rows, curls, presses and more. 

Geared for Strength Training

At the core of the Air Rhino is Rogue’s precision-engineered air flywheel, designed to deliver smooth, responsive resistance that automatically scales with the athlete’s effort. The system uses variable airflow and user-driven input to create a true adaptive resistance experience. The harder you push or pull, the greater the load.

The Air Rhino’s Flywheel is geared specifically for strength training applications. It spins faster, requiring greater force production with every pull, resulting in a maximum possible resistance of 1,100 LBS (500 KG). The result is a system that responds instantly and powerfully to athlete output.

The adjustable damper allows athletes to fine-tune airflow into the flywheel housing, changing the feel of each movement. A lower damper setting provides a lighter, faster response, while a higher setting increases resistance for a heavier, more powerful feel.

Because resistance adjusts instantly to force output, the Air Rhino provides an alternative over fixed-weight training by matching your strength curve through the full range of motion. This means muscles are challenged consistently throughout the range of motion, with no underloading at stronger points or overloading at weaker ones, resulting in more efficient and effective training sessions.

Concentric-Only Resistance

The Air Rhino’s concentric-only resistance system makes it ideal for high-frequency training, rehabilitation, and speed work, as it minimizes muscle damage while promoting faster recovery. Its versatility allows for a wide range of movements, including deadlifts, squats, curls, presses, upright rows, and, when equipped with the optional Low Row Attachment, seated rows.

Precision Feedback and Control

A 4.7-inch LCD console with Bluetooth and ANT+ compatibility provides real-time feedback on key performance metrics including force, velocity, cadence, reps, and more. The self-generating power system eliminates the need for external electricity, with two D-cell battery backups included for consistent performance. An integrated device holder keeps devices secure and visible throughout every session.

Built for Power and Durability

The Air Rhino combines a heavy-duty metal assembly, aluminum frame, steel top support, and steel wheel base for unmatched strength and long-term durability. Finished in Rogue’s textured black powder coat, it is built to handle daily use and high-output training. Despite its industrial-grade build, the Air Rhino remains mobile, featuring oversized turf wheels for effortless movement across the gym floor or outdoor terrain.

Adaptable by Design

The Air Rhino can be used as a standalone unit or mounted within a rack for space-efficient integration. Its 35.5” x 43” footprint ensures a stable platform for any training environment.
