Day 1 Highlights | 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic

Highlights from Day One at the 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic in Columbus, Ohio. Back in front of a live crowd, and with emotions running high, the 20th edition of the Arnold didn’t waste time producing memorable moments. In the two events on Friday, the veteran JF Caron bested Rob Kearney and Martins Licis with a 966 LB lift in the Double T Squat, and Oleksii Novikov rapidly racked up an incredible 7 reps in the Monster Dumbbell Press event, nearly doubling the next man’s total. At day’s end, though, with a pair of second place finishes, it was Rob Kearney topping the leaderboard heading into Saturday’s final three events.
