The RML-690 is built for the serious, nose-to-the-grindstone strength training facility—be it at the high school, college, or pro level.

We’ve designed the RML-690 with full compatibility across the Rogue Monster Lite line, making it among the most durable and customizable power racks on the market. The unit’s 3x3” 11-gauge steel uprights feature Westside hole spacing, with the same 5/8” bolts and fasteners as our Infinity Series. A pair of Monster Lite J-Cups, pin/pipe safeties, and a four-pack of band pegs are included standard, as are eight convenient bumper plate storage posts. The RML-690 set-up also comes with both the 43” Fat/Skinny Pull-Up Bar and 43” Single Skinny Pull-Up Bar.

Whether bolted to the ground or not, the RML-690 Monster Lite Rack can function as a weight room’s evolving centerpiece, with a broad range of custom height, depth, crossmember, and accessory options. Rogue RML-690 Power Rack is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Rack This is a very solid power rack. Assembly was not complicated. I assembled it by myself. I do recommend having someone to assist with assembly it is heavy. I put it in my garage/home gym. And I am very satisfied with it. It will last a lifetime. I bought it for the safety features mostly. As most of my lifting at home is done alone. This rack is of better quality than the one at the public gym I go to in town. I am very impressed with it. You won't be disappointed. I can't find anything to complain about. It is Rock Solid... And shipping was faster than expected also...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very solid rack So far this rack has done everything I needed it to. The rack is solid, and says it doesn't need to be bolted down, however a minor complaint would be doing pull-ups or dips on my matador attachment, the rack shakes, not to a point that it takes away from my lift, but it jingles all of my storage plates. I think if i would have bolted it to the floor it would have fixed the issue, instead i installed a couple trusses and it solved the issue. The safety's that come with the r-6 are cumbersome and tedious to change.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Re: Pin Pipe Safety Damage I have been using the RML-690 for a month. I am worried that the pipes might rust over time and break since I do Above Knee Rack Pulls for my Upper Trapezius. Also, it ruined the knurling for my Barbell when I slid the bar by accident instead of rolling the bar. I had to result to using 2 towels to cover them. If Rogue can make a Monster Lite Version of the Flip Down Safeties without compromising the durability, that would be great. I am more worried about the Pine Pipe Safeties and hope that you would at least make them more durable by coating the outside of the pipes with strong plastic or rubber. Over all the rack itself is mighty strong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, Easy Assembly I ordered this power rack along with the bar, weights, matador (dip bar), and land mine. Shipping weight was a little under 1,200 pounds so I was a bit worried about getting this set up in my garage. Took me 4 hours to put the entire thing together, by myself. Very simple and sturdy without having to bolt down!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stability, Safety, Confidence Did consider Rogue RM-390F Flat Foot Monster Rack to save on space although I like the small size is not a good trade off for heavy duty stability. I would rather have the infinity R-6 or the RML-690 because these racks include plate storage, have massive weight that they do not need to be bolted to the floor! I have definitively chosen the RML-690 because this is advertised that it does not need to be bolted to the floor, means more options for placement any where in the house, patio or garage. Initially during the ordering process thought that this might be too large but once set up and used for several months, outdoor lifting in a smaller rack would seem awkward. The R-6 is 81"x 52" compared to the RML-690 is 80" x 53" footprints are advertised as being about the same but the RML-690 seems more compact 76" depth by 46" width. The pin pipe and the strap safety systems available for this rack are both easy to use although most of the time I use them together. The X-43M Multi Grip Crossmember for the RML-690 diversified my pull-up regimen conveniently placed on the top front of the rack. I placed the skinny bar opposite the X-43M and the fat/skinny bar in between, fat bar down. The versatile RML-690 doesn't require floor bolts to be stable thus the unit can be placed on almost any floor surface. This rack is the option for ultimate durability and safety, the dimensions and gauge of the Monster Lite steel uprights and cross members, for bench press, squat work, pull-ups etc. I set up my rack outside on concrete and enjoyed bench press work looking at the stars during summer nights spending as much time as I pleased on my workout without going to a gym.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, well designed I've never owned Rogue equipment before. After much deliberation and consideration of competitors, I pulled the trigger and purchased the RML-690, the land mine attachment, and the dip attachment. Shipping took longer than expected, it was about three weeks before it arrived. But I have to say I was really impressed (giddy like a school girl?) when I started unpacking everything. First of all, Rogue does an awesome job packaging its equipment. I've ordered from places like Rep Fitness and Fringe Sport, and their packaging, while mostly adequate, leaves a lot to be desired. Rogue on the other hand ensures equipment arrives in perfect condition. Secondly, I was really happy with the quality of the product while I started to unpack. Viewing it on the website doesn't do it justice. This stuff is hefty, thick, beautifully powder coated and the welds are exceptional. I had to unpack literally everything before I found the assembly instructions, which is a single sheet of paper in the bolt box. Upon looking at the instructions I was a bit intimidated due to the number of connections, but it turns out to be really simple--it's all just the same bolts and washers with exception of four that are 5" long that attach the cross members/uprights of the plate storage rack to the power rack. I would advise having help assembling this beast. I did t myself and it was a challenge. It's difficult to shuffle the pieces around while assembling the two halves of the power rack with the pull up bar and fat/skinny bar. As impressed as I was with the power rack itself, I was no less impressed with the dip attachment (massive!) and the safety spotter arms. Both were well constructed and a fair amount bigger than I had anticipated. A couple of negatives as far as I'm concerned. First, I ordered the safety spotter arms so I could squat in the rack and do heavy bench presses using the spotter arms outside the rack. I lift alone and wanted the peace of mind knowing when I go for heavy singles I won't snuff my life out by dropping the bar on my chest, thus allowing my wife to spend out her days with the pool guy on a beach in the Caribbean. Unfortunately due to the pipe and pin configuration in the power rack, the options for the spotter arms are greatly limited. While I worked out a configuration that works for me to some extent, I can see shorter or taller lifters encountering a conundrum should they also desire to use the safeties as I have. Also the pipe/pin safeties are a bit of a pain to both adjust and align. Because of the Westside spacing I found myself repeatedly counting the number of holes from a reference point to ensure both sides were aligned. I would recommend the upgrade to either the straps or the more expensive safeties. Also the holes aren't numbered so aligning the holes for either the J cups or spotter arms could potentially be problematic. My solution was to find the sweet spot, them mark the appropriate holes with chalk for easy reference. Additionally, due to the bolts attaching the cross members in the front part of the main power rack, I've found that I can't use the spotter arms for rack pulls below the knees. The lowest I can get the supports are about 21" off the ground (which puts the bar right about my middle/upper knee, I'm 5'10). Also, no fault of Rogue, I had hoped to be able to use the dip attachment while also having the bench/squat station set up. No dice. There is just not enough room. Overall, this is an awesome product and I would recommend it to anyone. I will definitely be ordering from Rogue from here on out. Thanks Rogue for making an awesome product that we can all be proud of calling American made.
