Rogue Weight Vest Plates

Rogue’s exclusive Weight Vest Plates were designed for use with the 5.11 TacTec Plate Carrier, but they’re also compatible with a wide range of other tactical training / weighted vests on the market.

A functional alternative to ballistic plates, these American-made, laser-cut steel vest plates are available in three size options, and can be purchased here in pairs or as part of a complete package with the 5.11 Tac Vest.

Rogue Weight Vest Plate Options:

  • 3.75 LB Plates - 12.125'" Tall, 10" Wide, 3/25" Thick Laser-Cut Steel, Medium Gloss Burnt Orange Powdercoat, Rogue "R" branding. One pair inside a 5.11 Tac Vest will create a total vest weight of 10 LBS (this total will vary with other vest brands). As seen in the Masters and Teen competitions at the 2017 CrossFit Games.
  • 5.75 LB Plates - 11.5" Tall, 10" Wide, 3/16" Thick Laser-Cut Steel, Medium Gloss Dark Red Powdercoat, Rogue "R" branding. One pair inside a 5.11 Tac Vest will create a total vest weight of 14 LBS (this total will vary with other vest brands).
  • 8.75 LB Plates - 11" Tall, 10" Wide, 5/16” Thick Laser-Cut Steel, Medium Gloss Black Powdercoat, Rogue logo branding. One pair inside a 5.11 Tac Vest will create a total vest weight of 20 LBS (this total will vary with other vest brands).

IMPORTANT: These plates are meant to be used strictly as a fitness accessory and should never be used as body armor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tape the edges I bought these plates a few months back to go with the Condor carrier. About a week into use the edges of the plates started ripping the material about half an inch outside of the mollee webbing on each side. The carrier was cinched down as tight as could be to reduce movement of the plates, but a couple of burs did some damage and I had to sew up the tears, and then I chose to use Gorilla tape around the edges of the plates to reduce the likelihood of the rips reopening. Learn from my mistake and do a little preventative work before inserting them. I'm curious to know if anyone else had the same problem, or if the 5.11 TacTec is just made of stronger material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, Quality Vest Plates These plates are a great pairing with my 5.11 TacTec Plate Carrier. Really happy with how slim the plates are. Was concerned about how this would feel on the back in the event a WOD includes some kind of exercise laying on the ground, but it’s been awesome so far. Choosing the Rogue brand over others that are out there was easy. The MMA/Krav Maga/Shooting gym I am a part of uses all Rogue branded gear for the combat fitness workouts. I’ve seen that gear take a helluva beating and not falter. Once it came time to buy my plates, the decision was a no-brainer. Added a patch to my order as well. Can’t go wrong with a good ol’ patch!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from These plates are a bit uncomfortable The laser cut plates or just that. A flat piece of sheet metal that is laser cut. Incorporating to bends with a press break would be an improvement that would allow the plates to better conform the to upper body and carrier. The cast plates are much better. This plate are a lot more comfortable as compared to to laser cut plates. They conform to your body and there’s enough room to put a heart rate monitor on if you like and not digging your chest. The laser cut plates do work. I would look for plates that have have bends incorporated or find a fabrication shop with a press break to modify your standard plates if you find them uncomfortable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They work, but they could be much better. These plates fit great, my only complaint is the lack of curve. These would be much better if they where curved like real SAPI plates. That shape increases the comfort a great deal and spreads the pressure across the chest. Just my 2 cents

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A 52 year old woman who loves it!! This is mainly written for women - I was first hesitant to order the 511 V Tactical Vest and the Rogue Weight Vest Plates (15 lbs), due to having a larger chest. I decided to try 2 different Goruck backpacks instead. They did not work. I am so glad I decided after on the 511 Vest and the Rogue Weight Plates. I couldn't be happier. The plates are comfortably laying smoothly over my chest and back. Having one plate in the front and one in the back, allows it for even distribution and balance. It helps me with keeping my core tight and engaged. The plates are thin and don't bulk up the vest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid weight I purchased these for my condor plate carrier and they fit perfectly and comfortably. Working on endurance and strength training. It's a great combination.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive but worth the money. I purchased a pair of the 8.75lb laser cut plates in November and they were delivered a few days later. They were to be paired with the 5.11 Tactec plate carrier (I purchased this elsewhere for less than Rogue's price), as these products were the official ones of the CrossFit Games, to use for training and running. The plates fit the vest perfectly and, when secured correctly, do not move at all. I have worked out in my vest around 3 times per week for the past 2 months and the plates are still secure. They may be square but they are not uncomfortable in any way. I have run up to 8 miles (so far) with the plates in the carrier and no issues. There are much cheaper plate / carrier combos out there but these products are with the money if you can afford it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built to last! Fast delivery and not bulky in the vest. Armor stays in place with sit ups, burpees, and running!
