Rogue "Ohio" Lifting Straps

The newly redesigned Rogue Ohio Lifting Straps are individually sewn in Columbus, Ohio, using a heavy-duty black cotton webbing that’s soft on the wrists but tough and secure around the bar. If you want to work on heavier lifts without worrying about your grip, this is the simple, dependable solution.

Sold in pairs, each Ohio Lifting Strap measures 20” in length and 1.5” in width, with a single closed loop at one end and a carefully sewn off edge at the other to prevent fraying.

Please Note: While the Ohio Lifting Straps are designed to sustain regular heavyweight, high intensity use, it’s still always wise to inspect both straps carefully for any wear and tear before attempting a lift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than others I know it is by preference. Some like the nylon, others like the leather, but for the Ohio cotton straps deliver over and over without folding over or cutting into the skin like others. Perfect product for getting the job done workout after workout.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built straps for the price I purchased these straps a month ago, and have used them several times since. They are an excellent beginner's strap. The only thing I would like to see that would up this review to four stars, would be a taper to the stitch securing the bight-end to make it easier to feed the loose end through. Apart from that, I recommend this strap for anyone needing a good set of lifting straps for an excellent price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Repurchased 2 times I've gone through 2 pairs of these straps and about to purchase my 3rd pair. I've tried a variety of straps and I keep coming back to these. Unfortunately, I tend to rip these to shreds in under a year, but will continue to repurchase as they are the most comfortable and easiest straps for me to use during training.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, flexible straps Have been using these for a few weeks on deadlifts and they are great. Out of the box I did not feel as if they needed to be broken in at all as they wrapped tight and held firm to a bar. Do I get a small cut on my left wrist? Yeah I do, but I do not mind it as long as the weight stays secure during my life, which these straps definitely do. Over time, I can only see these getting even more comfortable and secure after they have shaped to my wrists.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great but doesn’t last. I bought this after using elenko leather straps. I found that the grip provided by these straps is great, really feel strapped in. However only after about a month of moderately heavy training with deadlifts (260kg) they are starting to tear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for assistance lifts such as RDLs I recently began using RDLs on my light pulling day as an assistance lift. The limiting factor in doing these at high reps (I do three sets of eight) is my grip. These straps enable me to pull these reps without thinking about my grip or fighting to keep it from failing. Accordingly, I can focus fully on my lifting form. They're easy to use, and you'll find videos online showing you how. Some tips/food for thought: first, you only need to wrap them once around the bar, not multiple times as many do. Second, don't use them for your heavy deadlifts. Train your grip (use a hook grip, for example) so that you never need these for your heavy work sets. I'm a middle-aged guy now up to pulling 480 on my heavy days using a hook grip, and use neither straps nor a supinated grip. Third, I've read advice (from Starting Strength, e.g.) that you shouldn't use straps with the loop that these Ohio straps have. They advise using Oly straps (Rogue has these, too) so you can release your grip and not hurt your hand or wrist as the bar falls. Because I never lift heavy with these, and only use them for RDLs, the looped straps work fine and are safe. Matt Reynolds of Barbell Logic, on the other hand, recommends these looped straps regardless of application. Bottom line: great product, made durably in the USA, and does what I need them to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap, Works Great Worth the price. I don't use straps often, but these work great whenever I need them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does what it’s suposed to do. They obviously work but I recommend buying leather straps unless you don’t mind shredding your wrists raw every time you use them.
